    Producer-Distributor-Screenplay Writer-Author-Founder of BOFTA Film Institute

    Dr. G. Dhananjayan is a Management Professional (MBA) with over 25 years of corporate career experience in senior positions at Kansai-Nerolac Paints, Saregama-HMV, AirTel, Vodafone, Moser Baer Entertainment and Disney-UTV before turning into an entrepreneur in 2016. He is a Two Times National Award winning author for his writing on Cinema (for the years 2014 and 2016) and holds a Ph.D. doctorate on film business from Mumbai University. He was involved in film production, marketing, and distribution in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages for more than 15 years in over 40 films, many of which were box-office successes. His recent hit films include Jyotika starrer Kaatrin Mozhi, Vijay Antony starred films Kolaigaran and Kodiyil Oruvan.

    Dr. Dhananjayan is the Founder-Director of BOFTA Film Institute, formed in 2015, which is considered today as Tamil Nadu’s leading Film Institute, pioneered the model of Learning from the Masters of the film industry and Online education in 2016. Despite many challenges post-Covid lockdowns, he manages to run the Institute successfully.

    Dr.G. Dhananjayan is a Partner in Infiniti Film Ventures, which is into film production making multiple films with popular actor Vijay Antony (Kolai, Khaki, Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan, and Ratham).

    Dr. Dhananjayan is one of the founders and the Treasurer of the Tamil Film Active Producers Association (TFAPA), a leading film industry Association for Tamil films.

    Dr. Dhananjayan is also into Film Distribution and has distributed many noteworthy films like Ivan Thanthiran, Asuran, Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, Kayamai Kadakka, Irudhi Pakkam, and Parole.

    Dr. Dhananjayan is a screenplay writer and has written screenplays and dialogues for a few films. His next screenplay is currently being made as a film with Actress Hansika by Director R. Kannan under the title ‘Gandhari’. He consults on scripts and film business to script writers and film production houses regularly.

    Dr. Dhananjayan is credited as a pioneer in social media marketing of films since 2010 and is known for his innovative marketing and publicity skills in the film industry. He is active in all film industry-related forums and participates to promote the interests of the film industry. He was one of the Organizing Committee members of the CII Summit on South Indian Film Industry.

    Madhan Karky completed his Bachelors in Computer Science in the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University in 2001. In 2002, Madhan Karky flew to Australia to pursue his Masters in Information Technology in University of Queensland, Australia. He was awarded the degree with High Distinction and a full scholarship towards his PhD. On successful completion of his PhD, Madhan Karky returned to Chennai. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Anna University between 2009 -2013. He has published numerous papers and research articles on Tamil Computing. Lyric Engineering is his pet area of research. He is a dynamic teacher and aims at inculcating originality in research among his students among his students.

    Along with his wife Nandini, Madhan co-founded Mellinam Education, a company that offers Education related products and services to Tamils around the world. He authored Mellinam’s first project iPaatti 1.0, a collection of songs for the information era Tamil children.

    Karky began his lyric writing career in Director Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’ starring Superstar Rajnikanth & Aishwarya Rai. His first song, ‘Irumbile Oru Idhayam’, for the same project, was composed and sung by Academy Award Winner A.R. Rahman. The song fetched Karky numerous awards including Vijay TV’s Best Find of the Year 2010. Penning ‘Ennama Edho’ in the movie ‘Ko’ showcased Karky’s thirst for freshness. His lines ‘Kuviyamillaa oru Kaatchi pezhai’, that describes the state of a confused photographer with photographic terminologies made the song so very unique. The song stayed at No 1 in most charts for over 6 months and dominated the charts for over a year. The song won many awards for Karky. The song was chosen as the Song of the year 2011 by Critics and Fans in many award events.

    Zhe Yindu, a Mandarin song penned by Karky for ‘7aam Arivu’ and the 16 language love song ‘Ask Laskaa’ in the movie ‘Nanban’ brought to light Karky’s love for languages. ‘Ask Laskaa’ stayed at # 1 in charts for over 12 months in Singapore radio. ‘Kurumugil’, from ‘Sita Ramam’, ‘Sivaa Sivaaya’ from ‘Baahubali’, ‘Adiye’ from Director Maniratnam’s Kadal, ‘Pookkale’ from I, Mano Gasolina from ‘Lingaa’ & ‘En Iniya Thanimaiye’ from Teddy were his other big hits.

    Karky has penned over 900 songs in 375 movies and has also penned dialogues for popular movies such as Endhiran: The Robot, Baahubali 1 & 2, RRR, Pushpa and Sitaramam. For Baahubali, Karky invented Kilikki a new language with 750 words and 40 grammar rules.
